Jon Blout - Owner/Operator

Jon boasts an extensive background in the construction industry, accumulating over 20 years of invaluable experience. His journey began in his early teenage years, where he cut his teeth working on distressed properties and new builds in the Central Illinois area. Eager to expand his knowledge, Jon pursued an Associates degree in Construction Management at John A. Logan College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. During his architectural career, Jon became adept at integrating emerging technologies with traditional building design, showcasing his ability to adapt and innovate. Returning to his roots in Central Illinois, Jon ventured into real estate investing, specializing in renovating distressed properties. His diverse experiences have shaped his multidisciplinary approach to remodeling, treating each project as a work of art. His commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail ensure that every project he undertakes is a testament to his unwavering pursuit of perfection.

Haley Chipman - Interior Designer

Haley's passion for creating exceptional living spaces ignited at a young age, as she eagerly delved into computer programs to design interiors even before reaching her teenage years. Pursuing her ambitions, she studied Interior Design and Construction Management at Illinois State University, forging a strong foundation in both aesthetic principles and practical considerations. Haley ventured into the world of interior design, starting in the commercial furniture industry. Demonstrating her unwavering commitment to excellence, she achieved the esteemed NCIDQ certification, showcasing her mastery in the field and dedication to delivering outstanding results. Seeking new horizons, Haley transitioned to a reputable commercial and residential design build firm, where she assumed a leadership role, guiding a team of talented designers. It was during this pivotal stage of her career that she crossed paths with Jon, the owner of MoBA Construction. Recognizing the shared values and creative synergies between them, Haley seized the opportunity to collaborate, joining forces while maintaining her role with the commercial firm. This partnership allowed her to unleash her artistic expression and embrace a more deliberate design process, fostering a perfect balance between artistic freedom and methodical design development. At the core of Haley's true passion lies the creation of functional homes that authentically reflect the unique personalities and styles of her clients.

We had our kitchen remodeled including ceiling and soffit. They were great to work with from the design to the finishing touches. Jon never made me feel dumb when I asked a million questions and then repeated them. If ever I needed to contact him he would respond almost immediately or if not at least by the end of day. We always felt we were in close contact if we needed something. The team is extremely tidy! Never left a mess and they sealed the room off so well that there was not an over abundance of dust. We had extra request on the finishing touches that made our cabinets look more like furniture than cabinets stuck to a floor. Jon custom designed them and they are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Beginning in March of 2021 we have had Jon and his guys do a partial bathroom remodel which included ceramic tile tub surround, new plumbing and fixtures and a new floor, it turned out beautiful. He has also installed 3 new entry doors. He installed a laminate floor in our bedroom, and did a complete kitchen remodel which also turned out beautiful. Most recently they did a laundry room/bathroom remodel where the room was gutted to the studs. this project turned out better than we ever imagined because of his skills and ideas. The price is competitive, he is always on time, the communication is great and he has great ideas. But most of all the quality of his work is unmatched, he is so precise with his work you can tell he has great pride in his crafts. I hired them to renovate a dilapidated late 19th century investment property. Jon completely restored the home to its original grandeur. It is really unbelievable the transformation that occurred!. They restored much of the original woodwork, used reclaimed wood found in the attic to create one of a kind custom shelves and for a faux beam in the main living space. They restored the original floors and stair case like new! I learned so much from them throughout the project. Jon made 3d models to show me what different design ideas would look like throughout the process. I could go on for days about how good of a job Jon and his team did. If your thinking about doing a remodeling project you absolutely cannot go wrong with them. I really cannot recommend them enough!
